Afternoon Tea for Two
Afternoon tea was introduced in England by Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, in the year 1840. The Duchess would become hungry around four o’clock in the afternoon. The evening meal in her household was served fashionably late at eight o’clock, thus leaving a long period of time between lunch and dinner.
Relax and take in the surroundings of the Estate at Kilronan Castle in either our Cosy Drawing Room or Palm Court, sample some of our Pastry Chefs homemade delights and treat yourself to a Traditional or Light Afternoon Tea.

Mariekeaney (Tripadvisor) – “I had afternoon tea in the castle with 5 lady friends and have to compliment the staff and the chef. The service was excellent and the waiter was both attentive and entertaining. The presentation and arrangement of the afternoon tea was delightful. All in all a great afternoon. Highly recommended.”
